We have a couple of XS D4's 10 plates at work we use for responding to calls in (Blue Light ) but one of them has developed a wobble around 50 mph had tyres checked, weights put on still did it weights taken off still did it new front tyres still did it brakes changed like they are going out of fashion every 6k ish but still happening all arms checked by fitters but again still happening. I think it could be a warped disc but have been told brakes have been changed any ideas,
What is the internal load capacity of the D4 it is a seven seater but the fold down boot seats have been removed

I had a wheel wobble that no amount of balancing etc could cure. Had worked out which wheel by swapping with spare. I'd just reached the stage of throwing it in the boot to take it to the tip, and as it landed in the boot, I heard the sound of 'sloshing'.
Long story short - there was water inside the tyre which meant that it would balance perfectly on a machine, but as soon as the water was disturbed by road irregularity, on comes the wobble.
Otherwise, i'd be looking for a binding brake - eg one of the park brakes just catching?Long succession of Disco's since 2001...

Can you accelerate out of the wobble or does it remain constant ?
If you can accelerate out it has to be a front wheels balance issue,
Why not swap the wheel from one good Disco to the other if the problem remains its not your wheels/tyres !

Are you thinking Hydro bush? Buellbeast had this with his first D4 and the TSB amounted to about £2.5k worth of warranty work. He'll be along shortly.Club Exped trailer

Don't think it's the water issue as we go through tyres quite a lot
Visited fitters and they took alot of weights off wheels then put a lot back on, happened again yesterday under heavy braking o/s/f sudden judder.
Day before everytime brake touched juddered,
Only thing is we do not carry spare wheel and do carry a lot of kit in the boot.Goodyear Duratracs

Two things spring to mind
Firstly the fact that when you touch the brake pedal you get the judder suggests a brake disck is warpped, you say they have changed brake disks, have they used genuine LR ones? I also seem to rember that a forum member had several LR disks replaced under warranty to fix the same issue.
Secondly there also seems to be either a faulty tyre or a bent wheel the reason for this statment is the fact they are having to put so many weights on the wheels, new or nearly new wheeels should not require lots of wheights.
Did you try swapping wheels from one D4 to the other and see if the fault goes from one car to the other.MY17 D5 1st Edition Namib Orange

Not too sure on discs but would presume so as it goes to L/R dealer/specialist for checks,
Re wheel good possibility due to the fact it does get bounced up Kurbs quite a bit will pass it on cheersGoodyear Duratracs

Didn't someone have something on their hub that caused the discs to warp? They kept warping the new discs until the imperfection on the hub was sorted?VIN: A175A328***
