There are lights everywhere, some of which dim or brighten automatically depending on outside light availability.... 2016 Discovery 4 Commercial

Pretty sure mine don't change with the 'available' light, they come on when you switch your lights on and you can only change them by using the dimmer switch that controls the instrument panel lights. Cheers Ian

The centre dash screen on mine certainly does.... as well as having a certain amount of adjustment with the dimmer....!
I noticed quite early on when parked in a London street under a lit lamp in the evening, every time someone walked past the centre screen brightened up then went dull again once the person passed!
And on the D4 the dash lights are on all the time, they come on when the engine is started.... 2016 Discovery 4 Commercial

Also one that beams down onto the rotary knob from the interior light cluster!
I think the lighting is great especially on a long mway journey.

I was kinda hoping for a good mood setting so I could put the misses in there for an hour or so Would be worth buying a D4 for that alone Guess I will buy one anyway I'm in enough trouble so one more thing won't matter

you can stick midget gems over them to change colour.
basking in apple as we speak.
(sour grape on the wifes side)
It is better to have and not need it then need and not have it.
