D3 front to D4

Hi all,

As with others on the forum I am looking to convert the exterior of me D3 to a D4. Why? Well I like the look of the D4 on the outside but it doesn't suit our practical needs on the inside namely the cup holder is in the wrong place. Plus I don't have the extra for the D4.

I have an 2008 HSE which has the standard grey bumper covers.

Questions I have are assuming I have removed the bumper grill lights and wings
Are the front wings a straight swap bolt for bolt? Ie no body work needed?
Do the lights just slot into the exiting holders?
Does the grill use the existing holders?
Does the bumper bolt straight on?

Does the rear bumper bolt straight on?

Can I use colour coded D3 arch trims or would I need D4 ones.

Not sure if I'm after the D4 rear lights as we have a black car we also for some reason have tinted rear lights? The way the car came when we bought it.

I'm also looking for all the parts in a used condition to keep the cost down and also full colour coded door handle and will need the tail handle too.

I'm hoping it's all bolt for bolt and not anything else. I think the 2009 D3 colour coded bumper was different but not sure if there was a difference under the skin.

Thanks all. Thumbs Up

Excellent repair.

I noticed the 1,000,000 th Disco had a hidden winch behind it's bumper.

Is this a special bumper or a modified standard one.

At last another person who doesn't like the d4 inside, and yes I think the cup holder thing is a major issue as well. D3 for me. But I also like the d4 look.

Ian, you need to get yourself on to www.fullfatrr.com and search for Cam-tech Craig, he was the guy with us at Salisbury in the D2 pick up. He does these mods, and could probably guide you Thumbs Up
