Water in passenger door sill!

Hello All, following on from the many posts about water in the footwells of peoples cars I have a slightly different problem. After it has rained water collects ontop of the passenger door way sill. So much so that when you open the door you have to be careful that it doesn't splash you as it hits the ground. Has anyone else had this and found out how to remedy it?
Cheers.

Have you taken up your carpet and checked for more water. Not had your problem but have had blocked sunroof drains, worth checking.

It is completely dry in the footwells. Water collects on top of the door sill. Most odd!

No not that. I can park it up dry and after rain the water will be there without the car being driven.

Do you have a sunroof if so it may be worth checking drain tubes. It's simple to do and will at least ensure they are clear.
