18" Grapplers (was 18" GRABBERS)
I also purchased a set of Nitto Terra Grapplers, measured tested andchecked for fit 285/60R18, they seem very good. If you are off roading, they would be good. The stock tyre is junk, worn out prematured, and and simply dismounting them tore 2 of the 4 sidewalls... 2 tyres I would suggest are;
on road/off road (mostly off road)
Nitto Terra Grapplers 285/60R18 (or your size)
If your in the States, TX specifically, I highly suggest Lambs Tire. http://www.lambstire.com/ Store #6, George and crew are great.

If your looking for a more aggressive mud terrain type tire, I know a few guys that run with Cooper STT 275/65/r18's MTs. From what I understand the ride is a little rougher but not bad, and they rub a little at full turn but that can be fixed with a dremel tool.I'm not so good at giving advice...may I offer you a sarcastic comment instead?

I also have the Nitto Tera Grapplers and they are awesome - haven't tried them in thick mud yet though. In rain they are stellar, in the dirt and sand they are great. Pretty quite on the road, and sticky in the rocks.

Nitto Terra Grapplers
I recently put on the 285/60/18 Nitto Terra Grapplers. When I turn the steering to full lock, they rubbed the bottom edge of the front bumpr where it extends into the wheel well a bit past the inner fender well. I trimmed it with a Dremmel tool and it fixed it. But I still hear a very slight rub sound on full right turns, none on left turns. Not sure where it is rubbing now, can't find a mark yet. We have lots of snow so it is too sloppy out to want to crawl under. Also, you need a helper to hold the steering wheel to full lock sinc it will spring back just a bit if not held.
Anybody find the same problem and a fix?

I found my rub spot. So far, it appears to be only on the left wheel. There's a plastic inner fender well that touches lightly at full right turn. It touches the inside face of the tire at about the 11 oclock position when looking at the outside face of the wheel/tire. It appears a couple minutes with my Dremmel tool will fix it.
I think I also have a bit of noise from the steel steering stop at full turn also. It is a creaking noise, not a rubbing noise. Instead of greasing the contact point I plan to make a small teflon cover for the steel stopper block, to be held on with a set screw or two.

lr3maybe I haven't had any rubbing in the tires, but there is a subtle creaking sound I've noticed in the steering I think like you're describing. Only it's doing it with just normal turning too.I'm not so good at giving advice...may I offer you a sarcastic comment instead?

I guess mine sits a little different than yours.
I haven't had any creaking at normal turning, just full wheel lock. But it wasn't subtle. I'll check it this weekend.
