Firstly had a new battery monitor gizzmo fitted under warranty for showing low battery when using timed climate.
New unit seems even more sensitive and has shown warning a couple of times when doing various stuff.
Putting the c-tek charger on it soon registers 50 percent and chargers to full much quicker than before when warning came on.
My main question is how if like yesterday when having a picnic can you use the rear door and leave it open without flattening the battery.
The interior lights were stopping on all the time, though the dash had gone out, then daughter opened rear door and dash then remained on, until i closed all the doors and locked it.
Was pretty certain opening rear upper door when rest of car locked saw interior lights but not dash light up and then lights would go out after short time.
Hopefully I have got something wrong or does it really mean that having a picnic out of the back of car is no longer an option with a Disco 4 D4 Landmark MY16 Santorini Black THE LAST

I just turn them off by pressing the middle button on the front light cluster

Does that stop the battery going flat or is the system still live? D4 Landmark MY16 Santorini Black THE LAST

I have had my tailgate open for long periods without the battery going flat, I turn off the interior lights via the front switch (Keep it pushed in until it bongs) and after a short period of time the car goes to sleep in the usual manor, although if you open the drivers door (it may be the others as well) the car will wake up again. Cheers Ian
