Hi
We send all our customers to this guy when we have done suspension work as he has one of the most upto date alighnment machines in Scotland and he actually knows how to work it, I can thourghly recommend him.
Remember though that you will have to get someone to put the vehicle into tight tolerance mode either by a LR dealer or by Andy at whites autoservice in Dalry Edinburgh or someone with a faultmate.
You will after alighnment need to then get it taken out of tight tolerence mode and this will make sure that the alignment is carried out to the correct procedure if you do not carry out the correct procedure above the alighnment will not be correct
cheers

I'd echo Mike's comments re White's, Andy is a top bloke and really very helpful. CLCM is where he suggested taking mine for a proper alignment and it was done very well indeed. You won't go wrong with them at all.

Resurrecting this thread as I'm looking or a 4 wheel alignment on my D3 following the replacement of all 4 tyres. Given my experience in January of Pentland I won't be taking it there.

Anyone used the combination of Andy White and CLCM and if so what was the cost?

Didn't use them in the end,but seem to remember Andy said about £100 all-in.....but said you need to book CLCM as they are busy and it takes a while to do it properly.....

I was at CLCM last week after getting my new Cooper LTZ's fitted

I had to book in 2 weeks before to get the appointment, hes a busy chap

Cost £49 for a full 4 wheel alignment; and took about an hour

I popped down to Andy at Whites before hand who put it into the tight tolerence mode for me, and then went back to him afterwards to get it put back to normal

I too can recommend CLCM. Was also charged £49 for alignment after I replaced my wishbones.

Out of interest I asked Pentland how much £200!

Promptly told them to go forth an multiply Thumbs Up

Ade - How much did Andy charge for putting your car in and out of tight tolerance mode?

CLCM have said that they can achieve the same effect as TT mode by keeping the engine running,

I've also contacted Autohaus Edinburgh - [email protected] - who have stated they can put the car in TT mode. My next question to them will be to explain how they do it.

I was going to get Mike to put mine into Tight Tolerance mode. Got totally hammered with work, so didn't managed and CLCM aligned as is.

Seems to be OK, but would have prefered to have done it properly.

The guy at CLCM reckoned you can sometimes get away with it.

Mike - Spotted the other night as I was passing through Bonnyrigg (I was in FL2 Embarassed )

Best to ask Andy really, I've been going to him for about 7 years now, so class myself as a good customer who has spent alot of money over the years Wink

It literally takes him 2mins to plug the autologic in and activate the TT mode, then the same to remove it upon returning to him after the alignment

Ok, so I'm about to get all 4 tyres replaced. I've previously had a service done at whites so I'm ok with that element.

Is it recommended to get an alignment done if all tyres are being done, or is it an age thing?
