Silly question...
A daft tart in a little Honda Jazz decided to drive into the back of me last week while I was in stationary traffic, (I suspect she was texting but can't prove anything). Anyway, her Jazz is even smaller now, (written off in fact) but I was shocked to see it's left a small gouge in the black part of my rear bumper. I now get to have a new bumper at her insurance co's expense but wondered it these come ready painted on the top or if this needs a body shop spray before fitting? Ie. do LR supply them body coloured or just smooth black all over?
Thanks

Sorry to hear about that.
They do not come ready painted - I needed a new rear bumper 4 days after I took delivery of the car because an idiot in a P38 RR couldnt park and scraped and cracked the rear bumper while trying to park. My car was parked up in town, thankfully a kind pedestrian took his details and waited for me to come back from town as the idiot in the RR drove off without leaving his details. Only funny thing about it was that it happened outside a solicitors office and they saw the incident but did not even take any details
Police woman came to see me a couple of months later to make sure that it had all been sorted and I was not out of pocket in anyway She also told me that as well as the other driver having had a lecture he had also received points and been fined for leaving the scene

Thanks for the quick answers.
Yes.... £571+vat - painted and fitted, I've just discovered.
That'll be an expensive text for the girl in the battered jazz! It's amazing how much damage was done to her car for just a little scrape on my bumper. Another reason to love my Disco.
In the end, no one was hurt and it wouldn't really bother me but for the endless inconvenience, calls, letters, forms and days when I should be doing something else.

Sounds about right
When I picked my car up, the repairers had left the invoice from LR on the seat, it was about £250 for the bumper, £22 for the tread plate, £12 for the tow bar cover and a couple of pounds for the screws and retaing clips for the towbar cover. Don't know how much they charged the Insurance co for painting the bumper.
