What would "you" recommend....

Hi All... ok, so my Disco3 is sitting on 20" wheels like so:

At present, has a decent set of TOYO Proxes on (s/t 255/50 R20 ..etc)

Now, im no big expert but im not so sure these are to great for any kind of off road driving, even the light stuff.
So, what are your thoughts on this? are they ok? if not, what reasonable tyre would you recommend, taking into account my wheels are at 20" ?

Cheers in advance all :D

I would recommend you get a set of 17" wheels with some off road tyres (Cooper ST ot STT are my choice) Then you can have the best of both worlds.

17" wheels are a must IMHO - I prefer GG ATs though.

stick some 255/50 x20 or 275/45x20 Grabber ATs on your rims - job done

Possibly - but why not buy the wheels you want, probably S/H here, and then sell your wheels & tyres here?

20" wheels are generally more valuable than 17" wheels of the same type & in the same condition, so it could be a good deal.

I'd recommend the GG AT as a tread pattern but I don't have them in 20". (Mine are 19's)

Not sure if that helps?

Thanks for the advice guys, much appreciated.

Not sure if you can source them, but I've got Nitto Terra Grapplers which have been fantastic both on road (low road noise, great comfort) and off (rocks, slush and ruts, haven't tried snow yet...).

Obviously our forum sponsors come highly recommended. If you are looking for fitting locally, I'd recommend Campbels on Preston farm in Stockton.
