To Chip or Not To Chip

Hi All,

Newbie to the forum so forgive me if this is an oft repeated question.

Do we / don't we ?? If so, which & where ?? Finally, what are the implications for warranty ?? Graeme

Maybe a bit of official salesman blurb but when I test drove mine recently, I asked the guy about chipping. He told me that LR had published something to the effect that it would affect the warranty.

Wales 2008 LR3 TDV6 SE Auto Stornoway GreyLR3

Our local main stealer gets a firm somwhere in the midlands to chip their D3/RRS.
They told me theirs did'nt affect the warranty but any ECU problems and the car has to go back to the firm to be remaped, which aint a prob but takes a lot of time due to the distance. On a good note their demo was getting 30.2 mpg and 210 bhp Shocked D3 SE auto
D2 2 INCH LIFT, SNORKLE, CHIPED (and scratched)
AND THE WEEKEND TOY 90 3.9V8 AUTO FULL CAGE, WINCH AND LOTS OF EXTRAS!
