Wet carpet, passenger footwell only

I have read a few posts on here and today used a brake cable to try and clear the drainage tubes.

However I pushed the cable in to the tube by about 4 ft on both sides but in both cases i don't feel that i got to the end before it appeared to get stuck.

I only bought this 05 D3 yesterday (my second one) and the air con doesn't work. It was re-gassed the day before but still doesn't work. The carpet is absolutely soaked through. I have lifted it up and got as much water out as possible but it would appear that the water starts to come in the the centre of the car rather than the outside. Could the water be connected to the air-con?

Any thoughts would be very much appreciated.

Regards

Paul

thing there is an aircon drain somewhere in the centre of the car that could be doing it.

to check the sunroof drains are clear use a jug that fills the iron (dont tell the other half) and tip some water down, and it should come out below the front wings, if you just use a little then you can identify if they are coming from the correct location (the bottom of the pipes also block with stuff as they have somethign on them to cap them off etc)

It might be worth checking the windscreen as I had the same problem. I had the roof lining down cleaned the drain holes only to find that the screen had a a leak in the corner. The disco had had a screen fitted just before I bought it a couple of months ago.
