Favourite Tools For Disco 3 Maintenance
Ok, on occasion the Disco 3 needs a little care and attention and if you are reading the maintenance section and yet the car is otherwise fine then perhaps you are doing it for fun.
So what are your favourite tools for fettling the Disco 3?
I like ratchets that either fit in small places or flex into positions that the D3 demands - like my Facoms and Weras:

The sealed pear-head Facoms clean-up in seconds with some WD40 but the well-worn grips on the Weras stay grubby whatever. The new flex-heads have yet to see a fastener, but I bet they clean-up really well.
Does nobody else look after their tools when they end up covered in rust, muck and old grease? Heck, I even strip and lubricate my Halfords ratchets every so often!
Was tempted to mention the essential D3 friendly hammer, but I don't want the other hammers to know which is my favourite…

My hammers know which is my favourite
There is the inherited 30 year old 32oz wooden shaft, which never gets used
A Signet 32oz fibreglass shaft, which is a 'back-up' hammer
The daddy though, is the Mac Tools 32oz, steel anti-vibe shaft (with soft grip ) Capable of removing front lower ball joints in a single blow My D3 Build Thread
I use either a beeswax aerosol spray polish or ProtecTool Wax to protect my tools, having first cleaned them of course.
Some tool sit unused in the back of the rally cars for years, so it's important that they are protected.
NJSSAm I Gammon or Woke ? - I neither know nor care.

Given the amount of trim and panels I have removed from the D3 recently I think these are brilliant:
