Just got 2 from Blackcircles

Just got 2 x Pirelli Scorpion Zero 255/60 R18 from Blackcircles

£317 inclusive of supply and fitment.

Fitted at a local garage SN Motors Clifton Moor, York

I was happy with the price, selected the time of appointment at SN and they were prompt and friendly.

I would go back again so must recommend accordingly.

That's a good price indeed.

I use Camskill as a benchmark for pricing, as they always seem to be very competitve. Here's their prices for 255/60/18:

But you have to add £2.99 per tyre for P&P and then of course pay to have them fitted. So I reckon you've beaten them. Thumbs Up

Did you try the site sponsor AJS for his best price though?

Shocked Just checked the blackcircles prise list for 18". Pirelli ATR's way cheaper than Camskill at £161.70 fully fitted. The ever popular General AT a tad more expensive at £168.66 again fully fitted:

But Camskill nearly £30 per tyre cheaper than blackcircles for 19" General AT, so even with P&P and fitting you'd be better off with Camskill.

Blackcircles cheaper than Camskill for 19" ATR.

Shows the value of doing some research, when it comes to buying Thumbs Up

I always use on of two local dealers. Venture Tyres an independent and the Bristol Protyre branch (part of the huge Micheldever empire). One of them will always match or beat the best internet price I can find, so I don't know the cost of fitting on it's own. Circa £10-20 per tyre inc. I'd guess?

A lot cheaper than LR or National Tyres. Mytyres are a little cheaper and £314 for a pair of ATRs.

Mines an SE with 18". Anyone got a view on if the ATRs are worth the marginal extra cost?

Thanks

On the basis that you should get c50k miles out of a set of ATR's (they have a 50k miles conditional warranty in the USA). I'm hoping to get nearer 55k miles with 3mm left from my current set of 18"s. Plus IMO, ATR's have no discernable increase in noise or fuel consumption in comparison to the Scorpion Zero's and Goodyear Wrangler that I've previously used. Then consider that ATR's have won numerous independent All Terrain tyre tests. Then I'd say yes, well worth the extra cost over other tyres.

But as above post from me, 18" ATR's can be cheaper than than some popular mid range brand AT tyres.

All the above based on my own experiences, but no doubt some will find my opinions to be "twisted" Laughing
