Looking for some advice, need a roof rack capable of taking 2 open canoes sometimes and at other the usual outdoor camping gear, oztent, mountain bikes etc, always had hannibal racks on my defenders but the D3 rack looks too short, anyone had experience with other racks

One question...
If i have allready the LR rails mounted.... Is the "LR expedition rack" the only soluttion avaible?..maybe the logical one or it exist other products that fits into the rails?

The front runner should fit the LR roof rails although the FR rails are easy to retro-fit and are more sustantial

I have had good luck with Yakima racks. I first used Yakima on my Expedition to carry two kayaks.
They make brackets (landing pads) that install into the LR3 roof rails without removing the roof rail end caps. The towers and cross bars attach to the landing pads. They are easy to mount /dismount. MHB
