Hmmm, it's amazing what you can to with Photoshop If they were really as bright as the picture suggests you'd be blinded by the glare off of your own lights The End

you'd also get blinded by others flashing you thinkin you've got main beam on. it's bad enough with standard lights for the prats to flash you. 🏴

I have HID driving lights fitted and the claims above are probably reasonably accurate. One of mine is a spot with a pattern about 8m wide and 600m+ long. The other is a spread beam about 26m wide and 300m long (from memory). When used it is like turning on the sun. They do need a warm up time and don't like being switched on/off frequently. Their best use is the long transit sections on outback good condition roads where you need to travel at a speed that will get you there but also need to see the wandering wildlife well ahead of time. Not for highway use, and besides, the standard D3 setup is perfectly adequate for the more populated highways. D3 (06) SE TDV6, Rear Locker, Rear Air, ARB bar w/winch, Safari Snorkel, 110l aux fuel tank, Kaymar rear bar (twin wheel carrier), Black Widow rear storage system, Rhino rack, GME UHF, Codan HF, IPF HID lights, CSA Explorer 17" w/BFG Mud Terrain KM2 - see Australian 4WD Monthly #103
