Fuel filler flap unsprung

Hi All,

Whilst my fuel filler flap locks and unlocks with the central locking it doesn't spring open when you press it Big Cry . You have to place something thin in the gap and gently pull it open.

Can anyone suggest a fix for this?

Yup, mine was the same on purchase, the spring part gets knocked off quite easily, parts were no more than £2 and a 30 second fix
I started off with nothing and Ive still got most of it left.

Go in the...

....Back of the car & the place where the thing that passses for a jack is stored allows access to the cable that provides the central locking aspect can be disconnected (easily)

The is allows you to see how simple the mechanism is & is useully fixable.
Have a look......there isnt that much to go wrong

You usually need:

1 x ARV78020 bezel
1 x CAL500070 boot.

this clips on the flap part.

Steve

The part numbers I gave are the two peices to the right of the red circled bit.

The red circled bit is BPA780101.
the next bit back is BPA780110
the small spring is BPA780120

regards
Steve
