| Wanted VW transporter or 4x4 camper |
|
I am looking for a camper van of some kind or other, VW or other variant possibly 4x4.
Cash paid or px Jeep Wrangler Sahara 4.0 litre hard and soft tops.
I know this is not the right place but one never knows does one  If you are not part of the solution,you are part of the problem!

Bruce, you will prob find a type 25 Syncro if you search deep enough ?
A good place to start will be in the Volkswagen driver mag or even better on a VW forum ?
They do command a premium tho but are prob what you are looking for ? Only dead fish go with the Flow !

Thanks I have tried a few forums but as you say sellers seem to demand crazy prices.
A 25 year old synchro van is somewhere in the region of £6000
They are nice bits of kit but not that nice. If you are not part of the solution,you are part of the problem!

Bruce, you are right altho they hallowed VeeDub camper is very much like a Defender. Your always going to be able to command a high price for it !
I paid £7:5 K for a pristine T25 at a VW festival at Tatton Park 10 years ago !
They weren't worth anything back then ! the splitty and bay windowed versions were high prices but as this wasn't air cooled no one wanted it !
All of a sudden they became desirable and the air cooled brigade have come to realise how reliable the newer versions are !
What I'm trying to say is that your always going to get your money back on one !
I sold mine for £9k and kept it for 7 years  I bought a plug for the sink new tyres serviced it and that's it ! Only dead fish go with the Flow !

I'm considering moving on my Disco TD5 Commercial, It has 2nd battery, water tank, cool box, cooker and a full length roof rack with a Hannibal roof tent which can all go with it for the right price.
PM if you want to discuss going down this route as opposed to the VeeDub one I guess around the £5k mark

I've a 110 for sale that I was thinking of converting to a camper. It's well insulated and carpeted walls/roof in rear.
I've just replaced bulkhead and doors with new ones, replaced rear x member and an outrigger, body cappings.
Just up the road from you.
