Truma SE r Mover problem

Hi everyone.

In the Dordogne, central France with my D3 towing my Bailey Unicorn Valencia, single axle - a great combination Smile

All has gone brilliantly until now! Evil or Very Mad The near side Truma SE R mover isn't moving the wheel any more. When I press on the remote for the van to move forwards, only the offside wheel turns and the van moves to the left.

I can hear the motor on the near side running but the alloy small wheel that is in contact with the tyre does not move.
When disengaged from the tyre, I can turn it with my hand, whereas the offside one can't be turned.

I suspect either the gearbox has gone or perhaps there is a shear pin designed in as a point of failure.

Truma will only supply a replacement unit - motor and gears etc- costing about £400 Big Cry but I have found a guy that will have a go at repairing it for me.

Has any one else had any experience of this please?

Happy caravaning Rolling Eyes

Not with the gearbox / drives but with the electrics.
Let the guy have a go at sorting it, you have little to lose

Hi Frapp. But if it was electrics, not mechanical:
1. Why can I hear the moter running?
2. Why can I turn the drive wheel by hand but not on the offside one?

I think you have hit the nail on the head with your diagnostics, although I can find nothing on the web to confirm
