Front Parking Sensor replacement - Bumper off? |
|
Hi all
I've read several Front Parking Sensor threads on here.
My Nanocom tells me it's the inner right one - do I have to take the bumper off to change the sensor?
If so - is it a real pain - and is there a 'how-to' guide anywhere?
Thanks in advance

I'd take it off as it may be the loom rather than the sensor - I'm not sure if you can change a sensor without removing the bumper. I know it's been done at the rear - not sure if there's enough clearance at the front. It's not difficult to remove the front bumper - just a little bit fiddly. There are videos on YouTube.

The D4 procedure is the same AFAIK so the PowerfulUK one is worth a watch.
Note that there are two different types of parking sensor - one straight and one right-angled. The right-angled I *think* is only needed to clear the washer bottle so if it's the inner right one then the straight one should work. Part numbers are in the wiki.
