I have posted my story under my discovery also,my d4 diesel went for its 3rd service on35 000km,a day later I notice everytime I stop you can feel the transmission kicking into 1st gear , I 've noticed this everytime I stopped. It feels like someone is bumping into you.The sevice advisor came fetch my d4 confirm the problem, took the dealer 17 freeken days couldnt solve the problem by emailing all sort of test back and forth to Land Rover Uk. On the 18 th day they got the go ahead to replace the gearbox.today it was tested with underpowered message reading on display, beginning of more problems. Will My D4 ever be good as new,at this stage Im so Censored off with Land Rover that Im thinking of selling it. 35000km with no offroad done, what do I do now?

Doesn't sound good !

I wish mine would kick down into 1st instead of starting off in 2nd all the bloody time, not enjoying the latest gearbox at all, no drive exiting give ways, roundabouts etc etc then an almighty shove in the back when it decides, oh yeah here's the drive you wanted 3-4 seconds ago !! and having various emails from other members it ain't just me that's experiencing the 2012 gearbox with problems ?!! Evil or Very Mad

The question remains, what is Land Rover global going to do about this? Especially if you say there are more people complaining. Bad for the Land Rover name!

Booked mine in to local dealer for next week, 'cos of lack of power exiting junctions. It's positively dangerous at times! As has been mentioned before the car is quick once it gets going, but oh dear...... Rolling Eyes

They are aware of a problem 'cos I think they read the forum!! Wink
