OEM DRL's

Who has fitted the OEM DRL's, think they look pretty good but dont really want to take the bumper off. Is it bumper off and are they easy enough to wire up? Will i need them enableing? Tried looking for fitting instructions but they aren't there yet.

Thanks

Skep

Skep, They aren't cheap to buy (approx £350) but take advantage of the completely under estimated fitting time by LR which states 1.5hrs on the instructions. My dealer honoured this estimate but it took them 16 hrs in total! Just take a look at the instructions (on TOPIX) and you'll see just how much work is involved.

Thanks Azurar when I first looked at Topix I couldn't see it. After looking at the fitting instructions I think your right Bursztyn that it's going to take a hell of a lot longer that 1.5 hrs! Don't think it's something I'm willing to attempt! I'll keep my £350 quid and put it towards my wedding next year instead! It'll keep SWMBO happy anyway! Thumbs Up

You can fit some philips drl lights - much easier to fit and a fraction of the price

Do they still have to be wired through to the gear lever? Have you got any more wiring diagrams/details to hand?

Cheers Skep

they are so easy to do you almost dont need a diagram
12v fused to + battery
- to battery
+ to side light feed

job done

they then come on with engine running and go off when you turn side lights/headlights on

you should be able to download or see diagram on our site www.hids4u.co.uk

no need to tell cars computer you have them nor any other connections

regards
ian

Skep, wedding? After 27 years I would be happier with a set of these fitted to my pride and joy Smile PS. Don't show this to my other half.

Just bought a set of these and looking at fitting. I think it'll take a lot longer than stated.

It doesn't look like there's a huge amount of room or access to the area.

I really hope it's not a bumper off job anyone with more information.
