Does anyone know how long it takes for the LR extended warranty company to sort out the paperwork?
The previous owner bought two years extended warranty for my D4 (manufacturer's warranty expires in September), which is transferable. I filled in the details in the booklet as requested and sent it off to them at the end of March. Not having heard from them, I sent a letter to them by recorded delivery, which was delivered last Monday. I still haven't heard anything. Unfortunately the telephone number is in the booklet I sent to them. Is this going to be a case of "Sorry sir, what extended warranty. We don't know anything about that", or are they just slow?
I have the paperwork confirming the original purchase.
Thank.

Hi Nigel,
Just call the assitance number on the back of the tax disc holder - they will be able to transfer you to the correct place.
How's it all going?

Hi Mark,
Thank you for that. I'll give them a ring. I didn't think about the number being on there. I thought any numbers had gone with the booklet.
I'm still getting used to the luxury of the car! We towed the caravan for the Easter weekend, although we didn't go very far, but it's certainly got a lot more "go" than the D3. Other than that, we've only been fairly local, and I was away all last week at the latest tow car event at MIRA, having a lift there. We had the "new" D4 and Evoque there, both of which were interesting to drive. I'm not allowed to say any more than that at the moment as I'm sure you'll understand.
You might have seen my post about the towing electrics when I swapped from the 12n and 12s to the 13 pin, but a re-programming sorted that. I'm hoping to be using it for a trip to Inverness to visit my sister in the next few weeks, but fitting things in at the moment is almost impossible. I thought retirement was a time for rest!
Your new car looks splendid. I saw your posting whilst I was away. Look after it, you never know...............
All the best and thank you again.
Nigel
