| Difference in wear between front and rear tyres on D4 |

Mine is on it's second set of tyres having put on Goodyear Wranglers eight thousand miles ago. Noticed today that the front tyres are worn down to 3mm on outside and 4 mm in middle and inside while the rears still have 6 mm across them. It was a similar story with the fronts wearing most on the original factory fit Scorpion Zeros which lasted just over 12000 miles. The car was given four wheel alignment a few months ago as part of TSB for steering wheel shake under braking. Is this higher wear rate on the front compared to the rears common?

I'm just about to replace my first set of Zeros and the front (3-4mm) are a bit more worn than the rears which are prob 4-5mm. I'd expect the fronts to wear a bit given they are all drive wheels but fronts do more work with the steering etc.
That being said, my Zeros have done nearly 25k. 12k a set is heavy.

I'm on 23k at the moment on factory fit tyres and took a wander around mine earlier...
Fronts are on 5mm and rears on 4mm which would seem to be at odds with the comments above! D4 Commercial - 65 Plate, 2016MY

im still on my D4 factory tyres at 20k miles and front and rear are on equal wear, as are the tyres on the D3.
most of my mileage is motorways so may account for the even wear Duncan

Dont know if you guys up there get TOYO tyres. Down here they are half the price and I have had 70-80000km out of a set on my D3. Have put a new set straight on the d$ and dumped the factory Goodyears. Near enough 40 degrees South!!!

Do you have the dealer put the car in tight tolerance mode for your wheel alignment ?
In Oz D4's were wearing tyres out quickly until the tyre places realised that the car had to be put into this setting to stop the suspension moving around, in order to allow for a perfect wheel alignment.
Just a thought.
