why is nothing ever straightforward...........
I brought a brand new Bailey Olympus at the end of Feb, and when we were putting it into storage a couple of weeks back, my miisus noticed that one of the protective panels on the front to stave off stone chips had started to come unstuck at the top. OK, a bit miffed, but a call to the dealers, and a new one is ordered. Booked in for today, so a bit of a pain to fetch it out of storage, but dropped it off lunchtime with a view to 2 hours later picking it up and putting it back away.
We get back to the dealers to find the service guy standing looking at the front very confusingly, so not a good sign.
We walk up and take a look and.................
The original drivers side stonegurad panel is MATT, the new, now fitted/stuck on passeger side panel is GLOSS.
There are very frantic calls to Bailey going on, who say that for our VIN number, there is only one part number, with no distiniction between matt and gloss finishes. ARRGGGG
Eventually they agree that there are in fact 2 options, and they will ship the replacements overnight, which means I've had to leave the 'van at the dealers (and I'm not happy about that, with our stuff in it) and go back and get it Saturday.
like I said, why is nothing ever straightforward.
is it beer o'clock yet??

Those of us with caravans have got to appreciate that life's never going to be easy.
Considering that we're hitching up to a Land Rover... are we mad?

Matt or gloss, was it periwinkle blue? I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.
