Spyware Virus

Not 100% sure but think i picked up a Spyware virus from this site yaesterday pm Big Cry

All sorted now thanks to my it friend, but mods not sure whether you can run a scan from your end on the site

Im not sure if it was from the site or an external link ? and not even sure if it was from here, but it was the last place i was before system meltdown

Its the "Systemcheck" trojan virus !

Bit of a sod to remove - took about 12 hours !!
 Its not a problem - Its a Challenge !!

Hi parrot,

Very sorry to hear you have had a problem with spyware - not nice at all.

I've done a full server and site check and there is no source of this spyware on the site, so unless you visited another site which made it look like this site delivered the 'trap', then DISCO3 is safe and NOT the source of the virus.

Any issues with the site let me know!

The post itself is fine, the thread on Pistonheads linked to in it contained images from a suspect server.

got a number of virus/trojans tonight hence me still up at 3.30am...

seems it turns off the MS security centre / MS security essentials however I trolled the tinternet and used this opensoftware source to irradiacate the gits and get the MS working again.

I recon me pc was being used to send out mass emails - funny how these commercial anti virus software yer download on a free trial didnt pick up anything but the those that take yer thru the virus check then ask yer for money then seem to find 100's of corrupted files/malware etc Whistle

anyhow, worth running this if yer get chance - very good

http://www.combofix.org/

BTW not even MS free antivirus dowloads was able to get the MS security essentials working again - took this little gadget 30 mins to get us up and running Thumbs Up
