Paddle gearbox disabled light

While driving my 2014 xs at the weekend I had an amber warning triangle appear. It states that the paddle gearbox is disabled. This is no big issue as I don't use the paddles although I need to sort it out and remove the warning light.
Does anybody know of a simple fix to this, or is it a dealership job? I can't see anything in the hand book.
Thanks in advance 👍

Hi, best get the fault codes read as it could be an issue with the gearbox. Since it's under warranty I'd be taking it to the dealer Thumbs Up

You've got paddle shift and don't use it Shocked you don't know what you're missing, I've only got a lowly D3 and I think it's Very Happy

Hi Dpetchey

Did you ever get the codes for this error or get it looked at? I had the same message with amber triangle today when I started up this morning. Stopped the car and restarted and went away.

Interested to know if I have more trouble brewing or perhaps battery issues. I notice your issue occurred in January when weather is colder too.

Cheers

Gary

Hi Dpetchey,
I have the same problem with my Disco 4 2013. Despite reading error codes, the garage seems at a loss to understand the cause and fix it.
It’s quite annoying, as also the cruise control wont work.
If you managed to solve it, could you give me some hint?
Thanks!

It's not necessarily a problem with the gearbox, it's also potentially a problem with the steering wheel switches.

We had this issue when I was at JLR.
