Now wouldn’t it be cool if….
While parked, the rain sensor would close windows and sunroof if needed. I thought of this while running outside in a driving rain to do the same!
And, while Im talking about rain, wouldn’t it be cool if we had live weather and radar on the NAV screen? It is entirely possible...if and when we get satellite radio… I know that here in the States both satellite radio broadcasters do offer this service with certain high end avionics packages. I have one in my King Air through SIRIUS/WSI. If pilots are seeing live radar that is being beamed down, we should too!!! It can't be too hard to offer in future hardware setups
But, I know that this is just a dream.. Id just be happy with MP3 tags on the radio display!

I imagine this service isn't cheap, although well worth the price if you're flying. How much do they charge, if you don't mind my asking?

Thanks Tim, that's a nice product. It would be great to have that in a vehicle. Maybe something simpler and cheaper will be done for cars, using cell phone technology.

Tim - at the moment I just reckon it would be cool if the existing features in the car all worked properly

That's very cool. A friend of mine was looking into ptting a small doppler on his Disco, I reckon this would be a more clean solution
I would have loved that rain sensor/window close feature... I left my sunroof tilted during a heavy storm and the interior was soaked '05 LR3 HSE

Quote:I would have loved that rain sensor/window close feature. I really doubt any car manufacturer would try to implement this due to safety concerns. I do wish I could at least close/open the windows/sunroof using my key, though... like our Audi.

With pinch sensors, I see no downside. I bet a lawyer could, though '05 LR3 HSE
