Not if you go to Halfords and buy an adaptor cable. A vaccine does not stop you catching a virus, or passing it on, or getting ill from it, really ill. It does reduce the likelyhood of you dying when really, really ill. Stay Alive - KEEP AWAY FROM PEOPLE.

Its just a new wiring loom and socket from TLO as Im guessing its been enabled already.
Some say its 1/2 hour job, others let the dealer do it.

I had that job done on my Disco 3 a couple of years ago with Bank Farm Trailers at Newport. About a half hour job which was £20 plus vat, parts and labour.

By "single" I assume you mean 13pin.
I did this myself with my D3. Retaining the 12N socket. So I now have 13pin for the tintent AND 7 pin (12N only) for the boat and garden trailers.
I replaced the 12S socket with the 13 pin, cutting the wires from behind the 12S socket and connecting to the 13pin socket. I also piggy backed the wires from the remaining 12N socket for the appropriate functions (lights and indicators).
Be careful though, there is a permanent live connection to the 12S socket which has to be connected. Remove the fuse before you start. ( I don't know which it is on a D4!).
Took me about an hour start to finish.
