LR Insurance changed to Zenith |
|
OK just had my renewal through ...it's gone up 20 odd quid which is no biggie ... but it the overall change from RSA to Zenith that concerns me. I haven't been able to contact them yet as they are closed ....
I'm interested in knowing if they cover off-road? Whether glass includes the Alpine roof ?
I also note that they specifically will not cover misfueling
......has anyone else come across them ? 21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021

didnt ask about the refuelling or glass roof but my existing Zenith polices does cover these. Duncan

Duncan.
The misfueling bit came as a specific clarification in the "changes to your LRI cover" flyer inside the letter.
It says Quote:"Misfueling Cover : Following much confusion about what was and was not covered the new policy excludes loss or damage caused by an inappropriate type of fuel being used" 21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021

Sorted !
Managed to negotiate just under £150 off the renewal quote bringing the cost down to £606 which is a very good price for my area and close to other favourable quotes I had.
To confirm inclusive items -
£300 excess (£200 voluntary +£100 compulsory)
Fully Comp - Me + Wife
SD&P + Bus Class 1
PNCD
Full off-road cover - not just green lanes (usual no sports, rallying or eventing)
Winter tyre cover - to manf spec and declared on 2nd set of OEM alloys
Any approved LR accessory e.g. Mantec plate, ladder, expo roof etc
30 day EU at full comp
Full recovery
Courtesy Car
LR bodyshop & OEM gen parts
Things they would not budge on:
Misfuel cover.
Alpine roof is not covered under glass excess but is covered under accidental damage full excess.
Overall I'm pretty pleased with the result ..hope the info is of use to someone as a comparison 21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021
