Gearbox & Suspension Computer Software |
|
Just had my car back and the software has been upgraded. However, I am convinced of 2 strange points:-
1. The gearbox now appears to have different response points & is downshifting more frequently especially in corners. Does anyone know if there have been different versions of the software for teh adaptive gearbox? It is in my view better, but definitely different
2. More seriously both myself and another driver who had driven the car previously before the "upgraded software" have found that the suspension seems to wallow much more now!! and is not as sharp as it used to be. Worse still, on hitting a small pool of standing water at 50mph on the left of a road, there was a most disconcerting lack of stability and what I think was a failure for the 4wd to transfer traction to the other wheels (have never had this either with the D3 or any other 4wd before). Anyone any knowledge of whether the suspension has different software versions, or any experience of such lack of stability? If indeed, as I am certain, the software forthe air suspension has been altered, it is very much for the worse

This is interesting, recently I had my car fixed - it was leaning to the left (see my earlier posts).
When I got the car back, it was not leaning anymore, and my wife drove it and commented that it felt much more secure and rolled around much less.
I don't know what was done to fix mine, but it was in the garage for a full day.
