Honest John's SUV tyre recommendation

Looking through an old copy of the Motoring section this am. I noticed this.

Saturday Telegraph 4th Feb 2012:

"In my view the best tyres for a 4X4 SUV are Pirelli Scorpion ATR's or STR's. They are a good off-road option and quiet on the motorway".

Got to give Andy something to post about as soon as he gets back. Laughing Thumbs Up

I would trust the experts here for an opinion regarding Disco 3 / Disco 4 rather than a generic 4 x 4 SUV opinion from anyone.

After all 4x4 SUV range in size & capability from Fiat Panda, Volkswagen Tiguan, Ford Kuga, Renault Koleos and Nissan Qashqai and the like to RRS, FFRR, Disco 3 & 4 + Porsche Cayenne, VW Touareg & BMW X5.

Honest John's above quote, was his answer to a query regarding tyre choice for an ML. No comments from me, I'll leave those to the "experts". Just passing on the info. to those who might find such a thing useful.

It has been a while since the gimp pic. has been posted though Laughing

If DG does post it I'll feel compelled to post either a wheelie bin, coz I've taken the winters off the cars, or a dining room tyre pile pic, to wind up those after MTRs. Whistle
