Remote Starter

Anyone here use a remote starter with the LR3?

When I asked my dealer he just said don't do it. Is there a history of problems with these and the LR3?

It gets really cold here during winter and I often have to park outside and then pile sweaty hockey players (my kids) into a truck that is -20 celsisus or colder.

Any feedback is greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

get a timer for the FBH if it is a TDV6.

Or a full FBH installed if it is a V8. I would do that if i lived in Calgary.

See my two posts here...

I don't know on the LR3 but I had a remote starter on my Jeep when I lived in Michigan. It kinda sucked really. Lots of quirks with the electrical system - like headlamps would come on by themselves, doors wouldn't unlock... And half the time it wouldn't start the truck because it was too cold LOL.

I know of others that had similar issues. Maybe the sophisticated computering of cars now makes it more difficult.

Okay, thanks for the info, I will look into a FBH, never even knew it existed before.

Thanks!
