Boot not opening - can you help?

Picked up a new D4 on Saturday and it's a great car which so far seems to be a big improvement on the D3 that I had before. The only problem that I've found is that I can't open the tailgate when the engine is running which is a bit of a pain when you're dropping someone off & they need to grab something out of the boot.

Is this something they all do or is there a setting that I can adjust that allows it to open while the engine is running? Or is it something unique to my car?

Any advice greatly appreciated.

Daft question time.

Have you tried pressing the unlock button on the drivers door panel? A common mistake made when trying to come up with a totally foolproof design is to completely underestimate the innate ingenuity of fools. :doh:

I've tried the unlock button on the door AND the unlock button on the key fob but neither will unlock the boot with the engine running. The funny thing is that all the other doors will unlock but just not the tailgate.
