On a day to day basis I'm getting just below 25mpg from my d3, what sort of figures should I expect to get with an average size 4 berth caravan on tow??

Think my figures (auto) are:
Motorway/dual carriageway (on a good day) 33mpg
Normal 27mpg
Towing 4-berth caravan 23ish mpg, may get slightly more if lengthy motorway driving

Hi there,
I get about 26-27mpg general running around congested Essex, 31 on a motorway and 18-19 with the caravan on tow weighing 1500kg, mostly on motorways at night at motorway speeds+.

Regarding the fuel consumption when towing I have got close to 30 MPG with a tail wind but against the wind below 20 MPG. (Single axle van 1600KG, 2.7 diesel auto).
Does anyone know of a roof deflector for the Disco 3 for towing? It should make a massive difference to the MPG.

Towing with a manual a 13' two birth we get between 20 and 24 mpg depending on speed, wind etc. The slower you go the more mpg. 29 mpg with a tail wind on the M56 over 100 miles is the best we have had.
Never dropped below 20 mpg even doing 60. I find towing in 5th gives better economy than trying to hold 6th.
