Gear Box Fault and back door when parked on a slope |
|
Noticed a couple of issues at the weekend.
1 - When Drive selected it only takes a very light touch of the gear stick and it drops out of gear. Then struggled to get it to re-engage. Selected Sport and all worked but gave "Gear box fault". Will have to take it in to dealers but wondered if this is a sign of something big about to go BANG
2 - Back door, Never had an issue with it up until this weekend. I was parked on a slope so the car was not dead flat, I shut the door and the hole thing appeared to be out of alignment, was banging on the bottom catch. When home and parked on the drive and all lined up. Does this mean the thing is twisted when on an up/down and left/righ slope? D4 HSE - Aintree Green

Think that will be the stiff gear linkage issue.

Agree about it being the seized gear linkage, have a look at This Thread
Not sure about the rear door, have you checked the hinges are tight and not broken Cheers Ian

Worth checking the mounts for the hydraulic rams on the tailgate whilst you're there - have been known to come undone
