Hesitation at minus1 and 2 |
|
Looking for advice guys
Yesterday did a 100 mile journey and 3/4 way through it I started feeling the car surging/hesitating. Was doing 60-70 at about 2000rpm on a steady throttle at minus 1. It got worse at minus 2. I was very worried. It disappeared as the temp rose back to plus five
Any ideas. Temp sensor issue???

No idea what it is, but obv not right. I was out in -14 a couple of years ago with no problems and I'm sure plenty on here regularly get much colder

We were out in minus 11 last week (in Bavaria) and no problems - the only difference was the diesel heater consuming more fuel so bring down our average to 24 MPG which included towing our 2 ton Airstream. LR Discovery 4 XS pulling an Airstream 532 Caravan also own (since new) a 1996 MGF

Averaged 22.2mpg on a 3000 mile return trip to Spain recently, and our tin tent is only 1.5 tons so I would be happy with 24mpg. Only done 7000 miles so might improve.
Edit: Normally set the cruise to 57mph on motorways (55mph on GPS) MY12 D4 HSE Ipanema Sand

Took it into land rover today. No codes in workshop and no codes out on live test drive. I hope it was just rubbish fuel and it doesn't come back again. Temp is up to 9 tonight though. I'll await the next cold spell.
