Spook12311, eh? Some say he's partial to the odd weimaraner, others say what he doesn't know about automatic weapons can be scratched on a spent 9mm casing... Time flies like an arrow; fruit flies like a banana

Really? Think he can cope.
Plus, may I remind you of this, earlier post?

As these could well be entering the country through a non official channel.
Or someone is simpley nicking them ?
I can't even buy these tyres at near that money no matter what quantity I wanted !
Anyone purchasing these tyres do so at there own risk as E-Bay leaves a paper trail as bright as Haleys Comet.

Oh dear me there are some miserable people on here. He is not a retailer of tyres, like I said he has one left, I bought four. Get a grip, all I wanted to do was let someone know that there was ONE cheap tyre for sale so that someone could save a little cash. I cannot see anyone going out of business can you ?

So what is being said is they could be nicked, they could be entering the country through a non official channel, the seller may be not paying VAT and Pirelli may be contacting HMRC.
Of course it could just be that someone buys them cheaper than other suppliers and can sell them at a lower margin. HMRC say:
Quote:If your turnover of VAT taxable goods and services supplied within the UK for the previous 12 months is more than the current registration threshold of £73,000, or you expect it to go over that figure in the next 30 days alone, you must register for VAT. However, if your turnover has gone over the registration threshold temporarily then you may be able to apply for exception from registration - see the section later in this guide for more information.
There is a section later in this guide on calculating your VAT taxable turnover.
That is one hell of a lot of tyres at £130 each. 562 tyres and they need to register, at which point HMRC will be interested in them. DS3 TDV6 HSE - Silver with Alpaca (old one) Gone

If he's not registered for VAT he is likely to be MORE expensive.
He pays VAT on his purchases, his expenses & overheads, which he can't recover, I don't believe the margins on tyres are that great.
A few purchased from time to time & resold at a good price maybe.
Is there usch as thing as "B" grade tyres - if so how can one identify them ?

there was a few years back tyres sold by manufactors called DA,s (defective appearance) and RQ,s (remould quality) but i think they got on top of that now so you don't see that many and if you do they are branded on the sidewall either DA or RQ
