How long does it take for the oil light to go out on first start up of the day

Mine is at least a second maybe 2 once the car is running - its much quicker on other cars I've owned unless the oil has just been changed. Oil levels checked and are ok

Be aware that on some cars, the oil warning light goes out with the ignition on, and engine not running (mostly VAG cars)

This was a concern of mine... It takes up to or around 2 seconds.. Had the dealer check it and this was classed as normal... Been like that for nearly 12 months (since i bought it) and no problems
If it ain't broke... Take it apart anyway, how else you gonna find out how it works

if you are scared of oil light in cold engine and/or in cold weather, try a preluber. they are used in big engines and critical equipments, and of course it can be used in cars.

I´m planning to put one on many of my excavators and rest of machinery in a short term as I have seen one and I like very much the simplicity and how well it works. not in the D4 however.

search google for preluber. lots of options.

Less than a second usually, about a second on a very cold day
