WEIRD FLAT TYRE

Got to work Friday morning, to find that by 8am my o/s front was flat
Censored
so called the boys in orange as scissor jack and gravel dont mix Rolling Eyes

so tyre changed for unused spare (blimey!) and winch was free too Thumbs Up

anyhoo, no signs of ovious damage, nails ect.

last night i was checking the pressures on wifey's car and decided to pump this one up again in situ in boot.

no hiss at 30psi Neutral
so soapy spray over tread, no bubbles...
soapy spray around inner rim (bead) very slow small bubbles ALL around where the bead sits??

why would this suddenly do this? I havent hit any kerbs, potholes even been off roading yet?

qusetion is do I
A. take it to a tyre dealer to reseat it with some of their glumph

B. can of Tyre weld and apply with wheel flat on its back and pump up to pressure afterwards

cast your votes now..... Rolling with laughter

i'd just leave it alone as tyre gunk and 4x4 tyres don't really mix that well. Try it out for a bit or get in reseated.

Take it to a tyre place, get them to clean the bead and put the tyre back in place, tyre gunk is only meant as a temp fix and isn't good if you ever get another 'repairable' puncture as a lot of places can't plug punctures if gunk has been used previously.

Go for A Take it to a tyre dealer. Do not go for B. I would suspect that there is a nail in it that you have not noticed.

Definitely go to a tyre dealer, have it properly checked off the wheel and then re seated.
The tyre weld gunk option here is a definite NO. That stuff is only ever a very, very, very, last resort when stuck at the roadside - it will always cost you a new tyre (even if it works, it's a temporary fix).
The only thing I can't resist is temptation.

Alloy corrosion around rim, clean up rim and tyre bead, refit.
Having same issue on mine at the moment, non genuine Stormer alloys about 3 years old powdercoated black if it's of any use.

Back under so took it home in the boot and sorted it there.

Just a shame he used hammer on weights and not the stickies
But he changed it for me .
