Anyone get 'flyered' at Billing? |
|
Hi all
I put a few DISCO3.CO.UK flyers on D3s I saw at Billing - did anyone get one? Particularly new members, have you joined because of them?
Just want to get some feedback as to how effective they are

Seriously, give me a handful on the 7th and I'll stick them under some wipers next time I'm at Tescos etc. The End

Martin,
How many stickered DISCO3's did you see ?
I never got a flyer but would love to pop them under a few wipers. There are again 4 or 5 of us at the hotel... me the only member I suspect as they would have bough cause its an SUV
Any help to further the cause and all.

mmm mine parked in the nearest car park too !!
You obviously were not looking hard enough.
You should create some flags to put on the roof so we are all identifiable from a distance. Must admit I was a bit worried my DISCO3 would disappear in a sea of similar vehicles... but there were not that many at Billing. In fact there were plenty of oohs and aahs as I drove around the show looking for a place to park.
Obviously the great unwashed have still yet to see one up close ?

I really was in the Jimny, but walked in free as I parked in my friends car park at the marina. I know, cheapskate again, but no flyers seen. Martin bring some to Tixover, I will put them in my dealers, see what that brings.

Hi all.
Martin, Iwas one of the lucky ones to get a flyer. (I am already a member)I parked 7 cars away from the bridge near the entrance along the treeline overlooking the Marina.
Arrived at 8.00 a.m. - was horrified at £20 cost of entry and vowed never to pay that again.
Show was very good and I managed to pick up some bargains like reasonably priced Waxoyl. No prises for guesing what I have been doing since. (Used 2 1/2 gallons (12.5 Lt) on the D3)
Visitted DOC stand but could not find anyone relating to Disco3.
Regret will not be at LRO show but will go back to Billing as I have done for 6 years now.
By for now. Tony Disovery 4 Landmark 2016 (66 plate) Indus Silver

I was parked just opposite you in my Dad's Bonatti Grey 110
I too was shocked at the £20 entry fee, unfortunately didn't buy anything
Did you come to the DOC stand at 12? Sorry you missed us, we'll no doubt sort out some kind of meet-up fairly soon which hopefully you can get to

Why don't you send out flyers to all of us prepared to distribute them, I've seen at least 10 D3s in my area alone. I'd be more than happy to pop them under wipers. 2004 Discovery 3 - gone

What colour is yours and don't you have a Disco3 sticker anyway, if not I've got a couple spare - orange and white I think. 2004 Discovery 3 - gone

Hi Martin
Regret, as I got there ahead of the game at 8.00 a.m. most of my day was spent rapidly scanning all the stands for bargains so I missed the meeting at 12.00.
I suspect that most of the real bargains had been snapped up Thursday or at least Friday.
I did scan the "Grassy Knoll" for D3's and must have had a good nose at your Dad's 110 if it was that close.
I also took the oportunity to park in the shade to assist in the preservation of my black plastic trim but fortunately the sun didn't really come out with any strength until around 3.00 p.m.
Would like to attend one of the local meetings because I have many questions to ask and advice to offer - I am trying not to tempt fate by saying I am over the moon with my D3 - but really "it does exactly what it says on the tin".
I did have a brilliant day at Eastnor and got to learn even more about what should and should not be standard features.
I will add a post to the Technical section in a moment about Sat Nav 4-wheel drive information screen.
Love the Disco3 site and look at problems/fixes every day.
See you again.

Gween, and I have no stickers as the dog eats them............
Yeovil Land Rover keep putting a new one in, and it lasts about 3 days.
Saw two D3s in Sherborne today, but wouldn't describe the drivers as being forum friendly.
