3rd Socket power

Hi all,

Wondering if i can make the 12v boot socket a permanent live to run an electric 12 volt cooler box. I have the landrover towbar wiring with the fuses in the rear panel and wondered if i can use the feed from there to power the socket as i don"t want to do anything that will muck up the wiring and the car throw a fit. The cooler shuts itself off when the battery reaches a certain voltage rather than flatten it so it is no problem to leave it running which is handy in hot weather.

Any advice appreciated.
