Hello Francescor75

I was lucky enough to have the cable looms already in the car. I found that out when I took off the front and there was the connector tucked underneath the front frame itself and the connector for the ecu was hidden just as an earlier post in this thread said it was.

In IIDTool I only had to activate cruise control to Adaptive cruise control fitted. The radar or the ecu seem to be calibrated to the car before and it still works.
I did have to adjust the angle of the radar transmitter/sensor since when driving it didn't find the car right in front of me but slightly off to the left in a two lane road. (LHD)

I have just finished connecting all the cables and now I just have to activate and try to calibrate

you can be more cut off about the adjustment you've made

Much, much easier to do on an RRS, as it was already an option Thumbs Up

Hello again
Looking forward to hear how it goes for you Smile

The adjustments I had to make was to get the radar beams direction pointed to the car in front of me, not the cars in the other lane and not missing the car in front of so me I run into it.

Since I have the A-bar installed I can't use the ordinary holder and the mounting holes for it. So for now I have it temporarily installed and secured in place as the pictures shows. The adjustment of direction was simply to turn it slightly more to one side. That way the beams direction changes too Wink

I need to move the original holder and make new rivnuts to mount it and cut away some plastics behind the A-bar, then it will sit nice and tight.

it's great on the highway

in the end I can say that it is a very simple to do

to make It need:

ECU ACC
RADAR ACC
SUPPORT FOR RADAR (it’s easy to build)
CENTRAL SWITCH
STEERING SWITCH
WIRING LOOM (it's easy to build)

iidtool to activate

Waiting for your "how to" then Wink

Did you receive software from gap, or could you do it on your own?

Tried it on some sideways? Lower speeds and turns.
Don't got to much highways around here Laughing
Have tried ACC on newer cars, but don't know if it's the same accuracy?

no gap software, I only activated 3 points with iidtool
I have no experience of new machines acc for which I have no comparison

I am in test, shortly I will let you know the precision in the various situations

Brazil 2011 Discovery 4 3.0 SDV6 HSE Auto Aintree GreenDiscovery 4

I'm sorry to parachute into this topic, but I got a 2011 D4 SDV6. I drove a relative's car that has this system fitted and I found it an absolute joy to use on the road.

I live in Brazil and due to the country's size, 800 to 1000km roadtrips are common for me and this system would make these long journeys a breeze.

Is it possible to fit this on a D4? I imagine I'll probably have to adapt the wiring and obviously fiddle with the IIDtool, but will the car even recognize the AAC ECU?

I'm no stranger to taking stuff apart and modding things to make it fit, and this system seems to be absolutely worth the time and effort (and cash) invested simply for the comfort on long trips.

Thanks in advance

Hello dear friend

in discovery 4 it should be much simpler than discovery 3 because it was an accessory programmed for that machine.

maybe if you are lucky you also have wiring inside.

surely you will have to play with iidtool, you will need the acc ecu and the radar

I don't know how to speak well of the d4 but if you need help ask for more

thanks a lot, I hope I have the wiring in place. I'll take the bumper apart and dig for the wiring up front when I do the oil/filter change, let's hope it's there.

Can anyone point me to where the ACC ECU goes inside the car? Mine is a left hand drive, so if it's under the glovebox, it's on the left, but I imagine it's the same for both RHD and LHD.

the position of the control unit acc changes if LHD or RHD in discovery 3, I think it is the same for the D4

ACC is located on the driver's side immediately under the suspension ecu

look at page 9 of this post you will see the photos of where the ecu is placed in an RDH

Germany 2011 LR4 5.0 V8 HSE Auto Fuji WhiteLR4

Just ordered the Sensor, ECU, Steering wheel Buttons and the center console switch panel.

A few things I found along the way:

1. There is a 7 Button Switch Panel for the Disco 3 Center console (Round corners): Part number is YUL500320WUX. You'll still need a RRS panel to get the proper button for the forward collision system.

2. Part number for the Sensor connector is YPC801300.

3. Part number for the ECU connector is YPC109860.

Does anyone know how to source the correct pins? I couldn't find the connector sheets on the Land Rover diagrams but they're the same as the Jaguar ones.

(Jaguar Connector FL005 is LR Connector C2025 and FL070 is LR's C2145)
