There are two versions – the KL72 that is primarily designed to operate in desert terrain, and the KL73 that has the deeper grooves required for wet, muddy conditions.

They were developed specifically for the Bowlers to do the Dakar. IIRC they even have "Bolwer" on the sidewall. Only available in a very limited range od sizes, as the Bowlers for some reason couldn't run on standard KL71's.
We had at least one Bowler Nemesis on last years Borders Hill Rally running on these tyres. I remember my mate who was supporting/running the entries phoning me about them as they were not on the MSA approved tyre list.Renny Thomson
