I'm interested as well. I may just make one up, shouldn't be too hard.

Which socket?

Hey ubp_sanity does your tow sockets look like mine? Which socket would I connect to? I currently use the lower one when I hook up my trailer. Or is the top one used when connecting a trailer with electric brakes?

Yes, I believe you can connect via the trailer electrics. Grab a suitable 7 pin plug and connect the charger ground and +12v as below.

According to this page there is no permanent 12V available in the North American connectors.

So you cannot use it as a connection to the battery for charging Sad

I have the same setup on mine. But it looks like the 12V pin is switched via the ignition.

Good old conflicting information Laughing

Grab a meter and check if it is ignition switched or permanent. If permanent then you're set Thumbs Up

Some NAS 7-pins are battery live, some are switched. The direct-to-battery 12v goes through the trailer module on the NAS LR3 so it either it is switched at the module, or it isn't, depending on how the module is configured. A quick check with DMM would answer the question.

I might just go out now and check. If I can find my meter that is...

The +12v line is the blue one and the trailer module is direct to battery via the 30 amp fuse in the battery junction box:
