Service portfolio -- information not entered by dealer. |
|
During the Christmas break I have read my handbook ( need to read it again and again?) and looked at other literature in the wallet. In the Service Portfolio page 4 there are 8 spaces for various pieces of information to be entered followed by "The dealer certifies that these details are correct ................"
The only 2 pieces of information entered were the Vehicle Type and the Registration Number. The remaining six were all empty. There are
Engine number filled in by me.
Locking wheel nut number filled in by me.
Key Number no information
Emergency Key access code no information
Radio Serial number no information
Radio Security Code number no information.
I have spoken to the salesman, who tells me that he has spoken to the technicians PDI people and I am told that the missing 4 pieces of information are not needed. I find this highly unlikely. Can anyone give me definitive information please?
Is the missing information necessary to obtain new keys (if needed) or to reset radio in event of battery problems?

Got an 8 month old D4 HSE a couple of weeks ago, and mine came with the same info as yours - no other serials, codes or numbers.

I just checked mine and it has nothing at all filled in. It goes in for a 1000km check next week, so I will ask to have it all filled out and will confirm what they believe is needed.
Edit: I now have Vin number , vehicle type, reg number, engine number filled out. They claim the rest are not relevant, but from Russell's post there probably should be a key number as well. Stealer Slackers

i have this morning heard from LR Customer Services.
They tell me that
1. Key number-- Keys are ordered to VIN.
2. EKA. There is a chip in the key fob which is picked up by vehicle. No need to enter EKA manually.
3. Radio serial number is no longer recorded.
4. Radio Security Code is system checked to VIN, if matching starts up automatically.
