Daytime Running Lamps

Hi, has anyone had the Daytime Running Lamps (VPLAV0066) fitted to their disco and if so what are your views on them. Plus how much were they and can you fit them yourself.

Search for DRL and you'll find a tread showing non-OEMs being fitted and also pictures of the LR OEM ones

Those are tidy mods in that DRL thread. Nice. Thumbs Up

I run with my light switch on auto which in this part of Scotland effectively makes my headlights DRLs from October to June. Rolling Eyes

For you guys who have fitted DRL, what advantages have you found? Are they better than dipped beam?
Do they stay on all the time the engine is running, daytime and nighttime with headlights on?

I have the OEM DLR's and whilst they are very bright making the Disco visible, they aint any good for lighting up the road ahead.

As soon as you put on your side lights they go out - think this is a legal requirement but stand to be corrected on that Thumbs Up
