Wynns EGR 3 cleaner ??
Has anyone used / got experience of using a EGR cleaner spray ??
The manufacturer blurb would seem to indicate that this is a viable way to go and quick search of YouTube shows similar being used on Ford Focus TDi engines etc with acceptable results.

Yes, I have used Wynns EGR spray when one of my EGRs went bad. It did the trick and everything was still working fine when I finally blanked the EGRs several months later (I didn't want the stress).Land Rover - Turning Drivers into Mechanics Since 1948

Squirted mine from the air intake carefully avoiding the MAF sensor wires, just in case they didn't appreciate the chemicals.Land Rover - Turning Drivers into Mechanics Since 1948

Be very careful with EGR spray! I saw a vehicle recently where the owner had tried some and it was wrecked as a result. Spray it in bursts of max 1 second and allow it to work through the system the revs will raise slightly then return to idle. The guy sprayed it for about 5 - 10 seconds - the engine ran away with itself and went pop. The egr valve wasn't clean either! Read the instructions on the Wynnes web site the product is Wynnes EGR3.

As Robbie has said, the MAF wires need to be avoided. Small print on many cleaners makes this point.D4 SDV6 HSE 11MY - Gone
