"Voice Add Name" Function in SatNav Settings

I have been driving my TD6 HSE for around 3 months. So far I have only had two problem. The first was with the fuel tank guage show half full when empty and the second as a "suspension fault" that has not reuccured. The car was in the garage for two weeks waiting for a part to fix the tank. Apart from the issues, I am very happy with the car.

Does anyone know what the "Voice Add Name" function does in the settings sectoin of the SatNav?

It allows you to add a voice tag to a stored destination/way point. In turn, this can be used to enter a destination on the move.

It was only when re-reading this that I realised I had misinterpreted your question.

The Voice Add Name option on the Settings Menu (subsection Voice) is supposed to be so that you can select a voice language using voice recognition. So, you could have a situation where the man of the house liked the sexy American female voice, whilst the lady preferred the male. Each could add their name to the selected voice and then change it using a voice recognition command. That is the theory - but I don't think it works!

The other voice tag I mentioned was the destination/waypoint name tag. This allows you to change your destination or waypoint entry whilst on the move using voice recognition rather than the touchscreen.

Apologies for any confusion caused........... Confused
