Australia 2012 Discovery 4 3.0 SDV6 SE Auto Ipanema SandDiscovery 4
Brisbane to Agnes Water

Hi All,

Yes my Disco is gone but I still appreciate the input from the well travelled folk here!

I'm driving from Brisbane to Agnes Water over the school holidays and wanted to know of anyones experience in taking different routes.

From What I can tell I can go up the Bruce Highway, then get off and go through Bundy and on North to Agnes, or
stay on the Bruce and turn at Miriam Vale and head East into Agnes.

Any views on which way is good to go?

Hi Dan,
Depends on what you want, both ways are now tar all the way, both good roads (in a Disco at least ha ha)
If you are after a bit more fun you can come up through Bundy turn off at baffle creek (sometimes road cut with local rain)and through deepwater national park (very nice sandy track). With all the road works on the Bruce I would come up through Bundy go to Agnes and go for a drive down through Deepwater another day(if you are bringing a 4x4) you can spend quite a few hours in deepwater great spot (easy 4x4 but great beaches to look at).
Do not take life too seriously no one gets out alive anyway!

The quickest way up should be the Bruce Highway and turn off at Miriam Vale. The Highway is crap at the moment so allow plenty of time... Road works everywhere
90 Rangie is spot on about the drive through Deepwater National park... You also have option to go north to Eurimbula National Park. Watch out it my still be fairly wet... We have had a lot of rain!

Enjoy
