Blinking EPB light
Hi guys,
what could trigger my EPB red light (blinking) during a run on rougher roads?
Checked with iidTool and no faults are stored.
If i stop, insert and release the EPB the blinking light goes out
Any idea?- Easy-Lift suspension module 4.0

Hi, have had the same issue for almost ten years. no fault code. The message on the display reads as Park Brake Off Lift Switch to Apply still not sure how it detects an emergency release

small world isn't it my 05 did this today never had any park brake problems during 9 yrs of ownership and service/adjust it every 6 months although i have a code stored something like emergency release triggered and its in latching position
have told the other half to drive it but not to use the brake until i get a chance to look at it but im thinking the cable might have snapped or something come adrift inside the disc allowing the cable to run full distance fingers crossed its something simple please excuse any grammer/punctuation mistakes,i'm thick, thankyou

mine still works properly and without noise, the red blinking EPB light just light up while running randomly only over unpaved roads... also checking live data from wheel sensors shows nothing out of standards.

Sounds like it might a wiring issue (loose/damaged) made worse by the rough road surface. You could try a look in "live values" for the EPB whilst driving over the same road surface and see if anything pops up. (or rather doesn't pop up )
I suppose the rear block terminals might be worth a look at but I don't think you'll get a code because the fault appears to be intermittent for now! Faulty brake light switch or handbrake switch fault/wet?yµ (idµ - eAµ) ψ=mψ

Wet? Not at all... here in Rome we are quite "in the oven" at over 40*C...
Have to check the brake light switch live data, but from memory if the brake pedal/switch is depressed while driving (accelerator pedal not idle) it trigger a warning on the message center about faulty engine or similar - Easy-Lift suspension module 4.0

Nope, but it's more likely that I spilled a few bottles of Prosecco - Easy-Lift suspension module 4.0

the "brake fluid low level light" should be the one just below the water temperature gauge...
mine is the one inside the tachometer - Easy-Lift suspension module 4.0

Re: Blinking EPB light
Hi Sidestick, just to share that my 2.7 tdv6 MY07 manual has been having the very same issue since I bought it: blinking red EPB light after some 15 min driving on gravel or unpaved roads (30-50km/h). No other issues, no dashboard warnings, no sounds. If I stop and push/pull the switch everything disappears. No consequences. Sorry I can just share the problem and not the source/solution. Still learning (and it’s a very long way….)
